Silverton Aggregates keeps safety at the heart of every delivery

Silverton Aggregates Ltd supplies the raw materials that keep construction moving across Essex and the East of England. From its head office at Devereux Farm, near Frinton-on-Sea, the business has grown to six branches and more than 100 employees. It supplies sand and gravel, decorative and recycled aggregates, limestone and ready mixed concrete to contractors, builders, landscapers and homeowners, while its recycling sites at Colchester and Braintree turn crushed concrete, road plannings and soil back into usable materials such as Type 1 and 6F5.

Almost every tonne leaves the yard on a heavy vehicle. Silverton’s drivers work on busy town streets, narrow rural lanes and live construction sites, often reversing into tight spaces where pedestrians, cyclists and site operatives are close by. Loads are heavy, schedules are tight and customers are waiting for materials before work can begin. In that environment, safety cannot be left to chance.
