Fleet Focus Integrates with CO3 - Making Fleet Data Work Further

Fleet Focus is now integrated with CO3, enabling our customers to securely share Fleet Focus GPS data with an extensive network of transport, logistics and fleet-management platforms.

For our customers, this means the tracking technology already installed across their fleet can do more than provide visibility within Fleet Focus. Where required, vehicle location data can now be made available through CO3 to other authorised systems used by customers, logistics partners, major projects and the wider supply chain.

One fleet. One tracking system. More ways to use the data.

Modern transport operations increasingly rely on different systems working together.

A haulier may use Fleet Focus for vehicle tracking, video telematics, driver safety and compliance, while a customer or contractor uses a separate Transport Management System, route optimisation platform, delivery management system or control tower.

Historically, connecting those systems could require bespoke development, additional hardware or even a separate tracking device in the vehicle.

Our integration with CO3 provides another way to bridge that gap.

CO3 specialises in connecting and standardising vehicle data across the road transport industry, with more than 550 integrations covering telematics providers, vehicle and trailer systems and Transport Management Systems.

By connecting Fleet Focus to CO3, customers can authorise their Fleet Focus GPS data to be used by compatible third-party platforms without having to replace their existing Fleet Focus solution.

What can Fleet Focus GPS data be used for?

Route planning and optimisation

Live vehicle positions can help planning software understand where vehicles actually are, enabling more effective route allocation, replanning and utilisation.

Transport Management Systems

GPS information can be linked with jobs, loads and delivery schedules within a TMS, giving transport teams greater operational visibility without repeatedly checking separate systems.

Live ETA and customer visibility

Vehicle location can support more accurate estimated arrival times and allow customers, distribution centres and project teams to see the progress of deliveries.

Delivery Management Systems

Large sites and infrastructure projects increasingly use delivery booking and management platforms to control when vehicles arrive and the routes they take.

Route compliance

Live tracking can help confirm that vehicles are following agreed or permitted HGV routes – particularly important for construction, infrastructure and environmentally sensitive projects.

Geofencing and automated arrival information

Vehicle data can automatically identify when a vehicle reaches or leaves a depot, site, delivery point or holding area, reducing manual updates and improving the accuracy of arrival and departure records.

Control towers and supply-chain visibility

Major logistics operations increasingly want visibility across both their own vehicles and subcontracted fleets. CO3 can bring data from different telematics providers together into a common data stream, allowing Fleet Focus-equipped vehicles to form part of that wider picture.

Dwell and waiting-time analysis

Accurate arrival and departure information can help identify excessive waiting times at sites and distribution centres and provide objective records when investigating detention or operational delays.

Supporting the requirements of major infrastructure projects

This type of connectivity is becoming increasingly important for fleets working on major construction and infrastructure projects.

Sizewell C, for example, operates a Delivery Management System to manage construction traffic. Project requirements state that HGVs are booked into the system and tracked to help ensure compliance with designated HGV routes.

Similar approaches have been used on other major UK infrastructure programmes, including Hinkley Point C and HS2, where vehicle tracking, controlled routes and delivery-management technology have formed part of managing construction logistics.

For Fleet Focus customers working on projects with these types of requirements, our CO3 integration creates an important additional option.

Rather than automatically fitting and managing another telematics solution simply so vehicle location can be supplied to another system, existing Fleet Focus GPS data may be able to be shared through CO3 where the receiving platform and project support the connection.

That can mean less duplication, fewer systems to manage and more value from technology already installed across the fleet.

Your data remains under your control

The integration does not mean Fleet Focus vehicle data is automatically shared.

Data sharing would only be enabled where requested and authorised by the customer, giving fleets control over when their information is made available to another organisation or platform.

Already using Fleet Focus?

If a customer, contractor, Transport Management System, route-planning platform or major project has asked you to provide live vehicle tracking data, speak to us before installing another tracking solution.

Your existing Fleet Focus system may already be able to provide the data they need through our new CO3 integration.

Contact the Fleet Focus team to discuss your integration requirements and find out whether your existing fleet data can be connected.
