PRO Series DVR protects Gradewell Plant from costly claim
Gradewell Plant and Haulage, a leading supplier to the construction industry recently contacted Fleet Focus after one of their vehicles had been involved in a collision on the M25. The third party was blaming Gradewell’s driver for the crash which had caused £10,000 worth of damage to Gradewell’s truck.
Fortunately, Gradewell had recently installed the 1280-PRO camera system with five cameras and had full video evidence. Michael Carroll, the Transport Manager at Gradewell Plant and Haulage, was able to remotely view and download the footage from the office using his MyFleet Live access.
The footage proved that as well as not being at fault, Gradewell’s driver managed to avert a much bigger accident through quick reactions and great control of his fully laden vehicle.
Being able to provide video evidence saved the lengthy and costly process of arguing liability, a potential 50/50 settlement and meant that their vehicle could be approved for repairs and back on the road without delay.
DAMAGED CAUSED TO GRADEWELL’S TRUCK
